Bio

Santi graduated from Physical Therapy school in 2004 in his hometown of Valencia, Spain. He is bilingual in Spanish and English, and also speaks French, Portuguese and German.

He started his career in Physical Therapy working with professional athletes which has given him experience performing under tight timelines and making critical decisions. Santi places high value on “Prehab” (injury prevention), paying close attention to maintenance, and actively treating at all stages of injury. He also enjoys rehabbing orthopedic post-op patients and being part of their journey to recuperate.

Santi’s approach is very hands-on and utilizes his relationships with both patient and referring physicians to ensure goals are met.

Professional Sports Experience

DAKAR RALLY

Three different  Dakar tours (2013, 2015, 2018) provided invaluable experience working with injured and over-fatigued athletes throughout their 3,000 mile, 12-day race.

VOLVO OCEAN RACE

Santi served as Team Physical Therapist and Trainer in three  Volvo Ocean Race campaigns  (including race-winners french team Groupama in 2011-2012). Santi has seen first hand the pressures and high stakes surrounding decision-making, injury recovery timelines and game-readiness within multi-million dollar campaigns.

America's Cup

Santi joined the french team AREVA for the 32nd America’s Cup as Team Physical Therapist.
